Production Engineering Manager (official job title) although you could currently be a Workshop Engineering Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Manufacturing Supervisor / Manufacturing Team Leader role required for our client who are an established multinational specialist designing and building special purpose machines for FMCG sector, they are recognised as a market leader within the UK and Europe for their solutions.

The Production Engineering manager / Workshop Engineering Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Manufacturing Supervisor / Manufacturing Team Leader role is with a family owned engineering company that has been established for over 30 years.

A highly successful SME they have delivered consistent year on year growth with last year being a record year. As a result of retirement there is an exciting opportunity for a Production Engineering manager / Workshop Engineering Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Manufacturing Supervisor / Manufacturing Team Leader to be part of the management team and be responsible for ensuring the Production Engineering Team successfully build and deliver machines on time and to required quality standards.

This a diverse role where you will be involved with working with interfacing with both internal stakeholders (supporting design, sales and service) as well as external customers and suppliers.

The company are part of a well-renowned, global supplier within 35 years in the beverage industry. The company are continuing to grow and looking for an organised, technical and personable engineering manager to manage a small team within company and to take leadership of the manufacturing process.

The Production Engineering Manager duties will include:

- Overall management of the company`s production facility to ensure it runs smoothly
- Oversee all inspection procedures to ensure the company`s quality standards are maintained
- Review staff performance and competence on a regular basis and identify appropriate training and development where required
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including conducting risk assessments
- Deliver detailed CAD drawings and full parts list
- Answer technical queries and provide guidance to the production team where necessary
- Ensure all data records are kept up to date and monitor data to highlight areas for improvement
- Manage suppliers and procurement processes

Ideally as Production Engineering Manage you will have:

- Experience working in a low volume build environment
- Experience overseeing planning of production to meet customer lead times
- Ensuring Factory Acceptance Tests / Pre-Delivery Inspection reports are correctly done and documented
- Working with design to ensure any engineering design changes are translated into manufacturing processes and updating working instructions
- Overseeing Health and Safety in the Manufacturing area
- Excellent people management skills
