As part of our growth strategy we now have a fabulous opportunity for a dynamic and strategic business generator to take on the role of driving our business development strategy forward and being part of our major brand growth.

BASE SALARY: £65,000 - £75,000 + Package Commensurate with a Senior Role

LOCATION: North West, M62 Corridor & Midlands

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham Nottingham (you choose any others)

THE OPPORTUNITY - Senior Business Development Manager

As part of our future growth strategy it has been recognised there is a need for a strong and dynamic Senior Business Development Manager to join our Data Analytics and Digital Services division to lead our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.
With internal support from the marketing team the successful candidate will be charged with developing targeted selling opportunities and maximise the growth of the division through a more strategic alignment of all of our sales processes.
This role will definitely appeal to someone who wants to influence and have major input into current and future business strategies. Reports directly into and works closely with the Commercial Director.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS - Senior Business Development Manager

> Experience of selling On-Line solutions including: E-commerce, Email Marketing, CRM, Database Systems, CMS and Social media etc. would be useful but not essential
> Candidates will ideally have worked in a high profile role within a Marketing Communications agency with the emphasis on driving incremental value for customer buying behaviours
> Experience or knowledge of the UK Transactional, Direct Mail, Marketing Communications, Postal or On-Line/Off-Line Data market sectors would also be advantageous as many of our campaigns involve delivering Programmatic Communications solutions
> Innate ability to understand a client`s needs and influence their decision making process
> Able to develop and execute all key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans to achieve the financial targets
> Adept at driving leads from and networking within the target markets
> Used to working in a fast moving & complex manufacturing environment
> Quick/free thinker who is highly commercial
> Ability to manage resistance to change
> Strong effective decision making, organisational and time management skills
> Wide range of influencing skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders across the organisation and client portfolio

THE ROLE WILL APPEAL TO CANDIDATES WHO CAN:

> Understand how real-time data insight can help clients improve their incremental revenue.
> Achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives
> Understand how to drive leads and build an active network of senior contacts within Marketing Communications Agencies, Financial Services, Retail, E-Commerce/Mail Order, Media & Print Management sectors
> Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets
> Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets
> Present the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events
> Prepare and present targeted business proposals to existing and new clients ensuring consistent and professional responses to RFI`s and RFP`s and apply rigorous qualification to ensure that the bids give weight to all revenue streams
> Influence decision making working in partnership with the Divisional MD
