My client is currently searching for an experienced Civil Design Engineer with extensive new build Residential experience to oversee the Design/Engineering function of new build Housing Developments out of their Sheffield office.

This is an excellent career opportunity for the successful candidate to progress their career within a new Regional Office that will be undergoing huge expansion over the next 5 years and have the autonomy to grow their own Engineering team.

This role is ideal for an existing Engineering Manager or Senior / Regional Civil Engineer from a developer background looking to progress their career or Senior Design Engineers from a Consultancy background with experience working for new build Speculative Housing developers.

The Company:

Our client is a volume Housing Developer who are currently undergoing major growth, building on 30 years of success within the Midlands region.
Typical sites comprise new build housing for open market sale and new build social housing for a variety of clients.
Typical developments number between 30-50 units and utilise timber frame construction methods with the end product being affordable new build homes for a mixture of open market sale and private clients.

Essential Criteria:
- Housing Plc / Developer or Consultancy background
- Extremely competent with the design of full Roads and Sewer packages including domestic drainage and site level design using AutoCAD software
- Experience in using Micro Drainage and a good understanding of Flood / Traffic reports
- UK Civil Engineering Degree
- Strong leadership skills
- Proven man-manager
- Experience appointing and managing external consultants
- Commutable to Birmingham
