General Manager - Milton Keynes Great Facility!

General Manager now required for a multi-faceted leisure business in the Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. 

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially focused individual to drive this leisure business forward. This club has over 2,000 members with an extensive wet side and needs a very organised and structured operator who will be passionate about service delivery and brand standards.

Ideally you will have a background that involves man-management and financial accountability. You must be hands on with a proven track record in delivery of business objectives and really understand the sales & marketing cycle to achieve membership sales targets. The centre has an established Swim School program which has further capacity for growth, so candidates must be familiar with swim programming and the renewal process.

Other Responsibilities:

§ Implement, review and report on the Centre’s Business plan and influence your team to ensure all objectives are achieved.

§ Ensure the centre maximises its short, medium and long term profitability

§ In conjunction with head office implement effective recruitment, people management, development, retention and succession planning strategies for the centre

§ Ensure the centre’s standards of performance are maintained through regular reviews and audits

§ Implement, maintain and manage an effective system of controls throughout the centre covering both financial and non-financial aspects of the business

§ Management, compliance, monitoring, reporting and communication of financial and physical resources and all administrative functions

§ Ensure the centre fully complies with all relevant legislation i.e Health and Safety and best practice is shared throughout your departments.

§ Ensure the Customer and Client Relationship Management processes and procedures are fully implemented in the centre

Candidates must have proven management experience from a local authority/leisure management background and possess operational qualifications, and ideally worked in the capacity of Centre Manager or General Manager
