You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the delivery is of the highest standard through the leadership, management and development of the curriculum provision and inspirational teaching within the Health Care curriculum area. The successful candidates will have a degree or equivalent relevant professional qualification, a full teaching qualification and must have a qualification in Nursing.

You will have experience of successful teaching in the curriculum area leading to high quality outcomes and will need to demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing new initiatives to support the teaching and learning process. Experience of curriculum planning is essential as well as an in depth knowledge of the range of courses and qualifications offered in the curriculum area.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Effective organisational and planning skills are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. A Degree or equivalent relevant professional qualification
2. A full teaching qualification
3. Evidence of continuous professional development

EXPERIENCE

1. Experience of successful teaching in the curriculum area leading to high quality outcomes.
2. Experience of developing and implementing new initiatives to support the teaching and learning process which lead to improved learner outcomes
3. Experience of curriculum planning
4. Experience of planning and evaluating services including developing and contributing to self-evaluation reports
5. Experience of leading teams/individuals to achieve objectives and improve performance

KNOWLEDGE

1. An in depth knowledge of the qualifications offered in the curriculum area
2. An in depth knowledge of the range of courses relevant to the curriculum area
3. An understanding of the role of IT in course delivery
