Due to ongoing growth, Radius Payment Solutions, a leading global fleet management company, are looking for a Tableau Developer to join our growing IT team.

Radius has implemented a business intelligence platform which uses Tableau 10.5 to deliver insight to our end user community. We now have a requirement for an experienced Tableau Developer to further develop our in-house Tableau capabilities and expertise, and to help to deliver a significant portfolio of new and improved reporting capabilities.

The skills you will need:

  • Current expertise in using Tableau 10.5 or 10.3,10.4 with other supporting skills.
  • This position is perfect for if you already have significant experience of designing, developing and supporting Tableau reports and dashboards in desktop versions 10.5 ideally, as well as Tableau Server or Tableau Online.
  • Experience of designing reporting solutions and the ability to translate customer requirements into creative, innovative and highly effective reports / dashboards.
  • An understanding of how insight can be delivered through Tableau in a powerful, intuitive manner.
  • Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to understand a complex data model.
  • Ability to lead workshops and drive out requirements for user stories
  • Ability to influence colleagues and end user stakeholders and to effectively manage customer expectations.
  • Ability to build a strong rapport with members of the IT Team and the wider business teams, ensuring that responsibilities are clearly defined, communicated and agreed.
  • Understanding of data quality and data modelling best practise.

What will you be doing as our Tableau Developer?

  • We are looking for someone who what to develop their skills and become the Tableau Specialist within the Team.
  • You will also gain experience in working with AWS Redshift Datawarehouse, Oracle Databases, and Jira or Confluence workflow tools.
  • Work with business and IT teams to understand their reporting requirements, and to assist with the process of prioritising, scheduling and delivering the pipeline of Tableau development work.
  • Hold workshops as required to drive out user stories.
  • Design, test and deploy reports and dashboards in line with best practise.
  • Design data models as required using industry best practise, documenting logical models and data dictionaries.
  • Design and use methods to safeguard and improve data quality whilst also making suggestions for improvements.
  • Understand and review the data that is used to feed Tableau and identify improvement opportunities including data quality that could be delivered through ETL or other changes.
  • Select appropriate data sources
  • Awareness and compliance with GDPR
  • Support BI service desk with data and workbook related tickets.
  • Identify where Tableau best practices could be adopted in order to improve the service offering.
  • Work closely with existing Tableau development resources, sharing best practice and ensuring that consistent methods and approaches are adopted.
  • Providing end user support and training where necessary.
  • Ensure that changes / improvements are effectively communicated and implemented, and that business benefits are being realised.
