The telecommunications Industry offers the potential of a long term career and this role will offer the entry level experience into this ever evolving industry.

We're looking for engineers throughout Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire including Kempsford, Wantage, Abingdon, Chipping Norton, Banbury, Aylesbury,High Wycombe, Bicester and Oxford

We’ve all had an engineer visit our house and fit or update our phone/broadband line, and probably thought I can do that. This is an opportunity to step into their shoes.

A 2 week residential training course (Monday to Friday) will be provided where you will receive accredited training to ensure you gain the skills to succeed in your role. Dinner and breakfast will be provided and on commencement in the field, you will receive £60 for each day you attended. You will also be paid £60 per day for the first 2 weeks out in the field, for peace of mind.

And there’s a £500 bonus once you complete your probation period of 16 weeks.

We have the following start dates available:

Tuesday 18th April in Nuneaton

Monday 8th May in Dunstable

The training will include:

Full health and safety trainingDriver and road safetyDriving assessmentClassroom work to support underpinning knowledgeWorking with colour coded cablesWorking in a main junction box (PCP)Installation of main phone and extension socketsClimbing variety of poles and laddersCustomer careAccreditation examsYou will also attend a NRSWA unit 2 (Streetworks) training session. This is a qualification you’ll need to work safely and minimise any inconvenience to the general public.

You’ll need a full UK driving license and have been driving in the UK for at least 12 months as you will be given responsibility of a SWB vehicle, which will be fully expensed along with the tools required to perform your duties.

Applicants with the following skills would be of benefit:

Experience within a hands on trade with transferable skillsExcellent customer service skills, as you will be visiting private households.Be motivated and be able to work independently as well be a team player.Be comfortable and willing to work at heights when required.Need more information?
