Riverside are looking to appoint an Assistant Financial Accountant to be based from the Speke Head Office. As Assistant Financial Accountant you will lead the Financial Accounting team in carrying out a range of complex, non-standard financial activities, and assist the Group Financial Accountant in preparing small subsidiary year end accounts. You will manage the provision of support to Shared Service Finance Processing teams to ensure all standard transactional activity complies with Group financial controls and regulatory requirements.

As the Assistant Financial Accountant you will manage the financial aspect of the Group Pension Scheme ensuring all necessary information is available to produce the year end returns and Financial Statements, complete the Corporation tax packs provided by the auditors ensuring compliance with current tax legislation, maintain the ledgers and prepare financial statements for small subsidiary companies and charitable trusts including year end working papers, reconciliations, and audit information and review and post complex journals prepared by the Shared Service Finance Processing teams.

The successful applicant will have experience of successfully leading, managing and motivating teams, including managing team performance, be Qualified/Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent, have an In-depth understanding of FRS102 statutory accounting requirements and the Housing SORP 2014, sound working knowledge of financial controls, experience of using Financial Accounting systems and be an advanced user of Excel.
