Our Midlands Super Hub in Rugby is set to launch in September this year. A £31million investment and the size of 33 football pitches, this hub will be the largest in Europe and will have the capacity to process 1.2 million parcels a day.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the Hub Manager and to support UK Health & Safety Manager to adopt the working of the Health, Safety & Environmental policy and ensure its implementation within the area of responsibility to minimise Health & Safety risk.

You'll have accountability for specific tasks such as:

- To deliver planned initiatives identified in the National UK Health, Safety & Environmental Plan via pro-active and practical approach to all risk matters
- Support, advise & practically promote Health, Safety & Environmental to staff at all levels in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Policy
- Provide specialist expertise in interpreting & applying health & safety law where workplace scenarios arise.
- Provide advice on the design & implementation of suitable risk management systems & advice in the selection of physical control measures
- Carry out site audit; provide Health, Safety & Environmental training support or the review of performance to targeted subject matter.

Essential Skills for the role:

- IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications
- Take ownership and responsibility for issues and establishes clear accountability
- Builds collaborative partnerships with key business functions to reach mutual goals
- Can effectively challenge others to ensure collaborative working & use influencing strategies to gain agreement and commitment from others
