The organisation promotes tourism in the UK as sells a variety of products to incoming tourists such as day trips, transport (train tickets etc) along with tickets to various attractions/shows etc.


Sales Executive - Tourism

Manage sales for the online shops in order to maximise commercial performance whilst providing the best customer experience possible.

Take responsibility for meeting individual shop revenue and net profit targets, while monitoring performance throughout the year.


- Deal promptly and professionally with customer email and telephone enquiries
- Be astute, customer service friendly whilst always keeping the focus on up-selling and cross selling
- Look to increase shop revenue by actively up-selling and cross-selling to customers where sales potential has been identified
- Regularly report on personal revenue generation by using track-able links
- Respond to customer feedback on Facebook and TripAdvisor


- Follow set policies and procedures to undertake required checks to identify technical issues on the platform
- Reliably log all issues relating to any orders in order to mitigate financial loss
- Liaise with Product raising any supplier based fulfilment issues
- Feedback on customer queries about what changes to the platform
- Monitor the online shops for issues which might deter customers from buying and to suggest then implement ways of combating these issues


- Update the "Special Offers" page every month
- Perform daily product updates on shop(s) and translate a minimum of one new product every week
- To work with eCommerce Operations Manager to deliver the Merchandising and Affiliate strategies


- Re-configure shop homepages across all shops
- Work with the eCommerce Operations Managers on the development, integration and delivery of new business & promotional ventures
- Ensure accurate and timely alterations to shop content for public holiday periods
- Feedback any platform related issues to E-commerce Platform Manager and implement solutions if only temporary to allow the continuation of shop performance
- Reliably deliver team projects to a high standard as well as against set deadlines
- Contribute to the work of the team as required
- Carry out ad hoc projects or tasks as requested by line manager
- Produce and present reports on relevant topics and areas as requested by line manager


- Follow up on suspicious orders across all shops, confirming them as fraudulent where applicable and blocking all such customers
- To monitor the payment gateway for large refused orders
- Support the Fulfilment & Offline Sales Exec in processing stock in transit on a monthly basis if required
- Process any required bookings across all shops for orders
- Fulfil orders for new Products as and when required


Sales Executive - Tourism

- Excellent fluency in written and spoken English
- A second language would be useful
- Customer service experience and sales experience is essential
- Knowledge of e-commerce is highly advantageous
- B2B sales competency
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise
- Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency
- CMS experience desirable
- Knowledge of tourism in Britain desirable
- Team player with a sense of team spirit
- Ability to build external and internal relationships

Job Offer

A basic salary of £25,000 increasing to £27,000 on completion of your probationary period.

Plus Commission, Bonus, excellent pension scheme, 25 days holiday with 2.5 additional "Privilege days"
