Commercial Financial Controller - SME
We are retained to recruit on behalf of this reputable and well-established family-run business. Operating 6 companies within the group, their combined turnover is c£4m. Due to continued growth and expansion, they now require a Commercial Head of Finance. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will help formulate strategy and long term plans, take a lead role in assessing future acquisitions, support the sales teams in job costing and margin analysis, and add value in helping drive the business forward from a strategic and commercial footing. Managing a small team, you will also have ultimate responsibility for all financial matters. This will include: Preparation of monthly management accounts and variances; Daily Cash-management; Forecasting and Budget preparation; Reporting and monitoring on capital expenditure plans. This will best suit a commercially astute accountant who possesses a proven track record and a strategic approach. You will possess a positive 'can do' attitude, able to develop and maintain positive working relationships, and thrive in a hands-on varied role. Candidates of any qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ACMA) or those qualified by experience are all welcome to apply, and it will prove advantageous if you have previously worked in an SME or OMB environment. You will possess good experience with Sage Line 50 & Excel, together with a strong working knowledge of data analysis and presentation.
