Sales and Distribution Manager
New and exciting opportunity for a candidate who has previous experience of running a business from a sales and distribution perspective. This is a highly successful business which offers incredible levels of support. You will be responsible for the running of the business, sales and marketing, recruitment profit and loss and stock control. To direct and manage every aspect of the Division to generate optimum level of Operating Income and Profit commensurate with the size of the metropolitan area, whilst conforming to all Company policy, procedures and processes.Key TasksIdentify new product and market opportunities and execute a business planPromote and market the services provided by the business to its customer base in the most appropriate and beneficial mannerDirect, motivate and develop existing staff and when it is to the benefit of the business, appoint new staffUnderstand the Company financial reporting methodology and closely review monthly reportsEnsure the business meets its statutory requirements including health and safety, operator’s licence and employment lawProduce and present an annual forecast to the Company’s shareholdersManage, maintain and monitor inventory levels to meet customer needs efficientlyNegotiate local purchasing conditions and rebates with suppliersSupport and work with the credit control team at the service centre to maximise opportunity and minimise riskMaximise the asset utilisation of the business and establish capital expenditure needsMaintain the facility in accordance with lease agreementBe familiar with and be able to work with the Company computer systemSummaryThe Manager has final responsibility for all aspects of the running of the business. This includes all staff matters, sales effort, inventory control, marketing, financial reporting and compliance to standards on paper and data processingThis role reports directly to the Regional Manager.
