Salary: circa £48,000 - £52,000 DOE, plus excellent benefits including 25 days holiday + bank holidays, company pension scheme and flexitime scheme.
Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Software Developer / Analyst to work on their business systems redevelopment programme to deliver an exciting new enterprise solution to their business, fulfilling both current and future needs of the business.
This position will get you involved in the ongoing development of their Single Page/Multi platform Application to replace their legacy bespoke system.
The role will also involve day to day IT support for both the head office team and various sites around the country. This will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work across all areas of a development lifecycle of a significant IT enterprise development and put their stamp on a role within the team.
This is a perfect position within a vibrant and expanding Field Marketing business for someone looking to fulfil a Senior IT role where they can make a significant contribution to a small IT team which currently consists of the Systems Development Manager, a Senior Developer/Analyst and a Systems Developer.
You will be based in our client's satellite office in Bournemouth but will occasionally need to make trips to their Head Office in Dorking, Surrey and our other sites around the country.
Technical Skills required
You will need to be able to demonstrate a detailed understanding in the following areas of tools, software and architecture:
* Visual Studio 2015+ .Net, C#
* SQL Server 2008-2014 design, T-SQL, stored procedures and performance tuning, data warehousing and replication, SSRS, SSIS
* SPA front ends (e.g. using Angular, Knockout or other frameworks)
* CSS (Ideally Less or Sass)
* Dependency Injection
* Telerik Kendo UI
* CQRS (or SOA) architecture
* Entity Framework
* Responsive layouts
* Git (or other relevant SCM)
Soft Skills required:
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of up to date technical experience to the team whilst also being able to discuss requirements and design system functionality in a clear and coherent non-technical manner with other departments within the business.
Whilst primarily you will be working to a long term strategic development plan you must be able to provide analysis for impromptu business requirements and provide technical workarounds and solutions in a reactive, quick and efficient manner.
The core nature of the business is non technical and very much based around people, therefore communication without technical presumption is of upmost importance to the role
Full driving license - no more than 3 penalty points
* Analysis and integration of 3rd party software to fulfil the business requirements on an as required basis
* A solid understanding of PC operating systems, Microsoft office (VBA, Macros & functions) and general IT such as printers, configuring email accounts, in order to help with day to day IT assistance.
* Produce product user guides and training plans.
