Mechanical Systems Engineer - Diesel Engines - Peterborough - Salary

This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a world-renowned diesel engine manufacturer at its Peterborough location.

In this role the successful Mechanical Engineer will support all systems technical objectives and contribute to the planning and delivery of the validation of new and updated diesel engines for industrial applications.

Key elements of this Mechanical Systems Engineer job: - Identify system integration requirements, cascade objectives - Identify risks to product reliability and durability - Define procedures to develop objectives using data with analytics - Identify validation tests - Take ownership of technical issue resolution - Work with the Project Leader to meet time, cost and quality targets

Candidate requirements for this Mechanical Systems Engineer job: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline - Understanding of system engineering - Experience of using Design FMEAs - Background in design, development or simulation - Experience in industrial diesel engines, construction machinery or generating sets
