Bury College is a Further Education College offering a wide range of courses to over 5000 full time students and over 5650 part time students each year. The College currently works with over 50 high school partners, welcoming applications from Bury and the surrounding areas.
We now have a part-time opportunity available for a Workshop Tutor/Assessor – Bricklaying, to join us to deliver and assess learning in a way that supports progression and achievement of learners, specifically with the Construction sector.
Teaching and delivering a range of practical skills and underpinning knowledge to learners, including full-time, part-time and work-based learners, you will deliver excellent and inclusive learning in a workshop environment or through work based learning, so that learners are inspired to progress and succeed.
Planning delivery so schemes of work, lesson plans and individual learning plans support learner progress and timely achievement, you must undertake ongoing high quality formative and summative assessment of learners’ work and provide regular feedback that supports progress; responding to new curriculum developments and planning resources as appropriate.
Candidates must hold an advanced professional qualification in a related craft or subject and hold a teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills (or a commitment to work towards this qualification within the probationary period). Evidence of successful delivery of learning, either through classroom or work-based learning success rates is desirable.
