Insurance Co-ordinator / Claims Handler BLUI47651

Salary up to £24,000 per annum

Our client is a long established UK manufacturer and distributor of solid fuel products selling to domestic, wholesale and retail customers. Currently operating from over 30 sites in the UK and employing over 600 employees, they are a major manufacturer and distributor of solid fuel. They offer a range of well-known product brands and a commitment to new product development including 'e-coal’ and renewable energy fuels.

They are currently looking for an Insurance Coordinator / Claims Handler to join them at their head office in Sheffield to deal with claims and notification of incidents in respect of the various insurance policies held, and effectively maintaining accurate file records and monitoring ongoing claims and incidents.

In the role you will receive and progress insurance claims and notifications of incidents, progressing queries effectively and on a timely basis. Assisting with the Group Insurance Programme and collating and verifying information, liaising with business and management, you will manage and recover uninsured costs and provide accurate information on a timely basis.

Assisting with requirements in respect to the company’s contractual obligations, best practice procedures, you will support the Group Secretariat Department.

With an excellent telephone manner and written skills, you will be experienced in claims handling and be competent in the different types of insurance cover applicable within a commercial environment. A strong team player who is able to work on their own initiative, you will be competent in the use of Excel, Word, Databases, internet and tracking systems and have excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills.

With the flexibility to work independently and as part of a team and willing to expand on knowledge where necessary, the successful candidate will have a high standard of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and orally.
