Accountant Opportunity At Hemingway Bailey

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the UK award winning accountancy practice, Hemingway Bailey. We currently have an opportunity with ourselves for an Accounts Manager which would ideally suit someone who is looking for their first practice management role and who wants to both progress and wants to work with the latest cloud software.

The opportunity will ideally suit someone with a minimum of 2 years experience of working in a generalist accountancy practice and who is approaching the end of their professional accountancy studies. We are a small accountancy practice but with large ambitions and the ideal candidate would be someone who wants to stretch themselves with new challenges and who wants to make a positive impact in the company.

The technical side of the role will include preparation of limited company accounts to a high technical standard and preparation of tax returns for companies & individuals. Our client base is varied and so you will be faced with many different technical challenges which will enable you to apply a lot of your technical knowledge.

As the Quickbooks Firm of the Future UK winners for 2016 you will quickly gain experience of cloud accounting and as a fully cloud based accountancy practice, you will get the opportunity to both work with the latest software but also investigate what other software is suitable for the practice and clients to make both of us more efficient and profitable.

The role will involve the opportunity for you to represent the company at external events and you will have the opportunity to be involved in business development with both existing and potential clients.

You will have responsibility for the accounts office team which will be a mixture of AAT qualified team members and apprentice trainees and one of your key responsibilities will be assisting in their training and development.

The role is based in our offices in the centre of Beverley and is for 35 hours per week full time but we will consider part-time or job share if needed.
