Software Development Support Engineer

Salary negotiable depending on experience up to £30,000 p.a. + Exceptional Benefits

This position could be ideal for you if you are a Graduate in software engineering/development, computer science, mathematics or physics looking for your first step on the ladder to software development, or if you have a software engineer background looking for a more support-focussed position.

The salary for this role is between £20-30,000 p.a., negotiable depending on your experience. There's also an exceptional list of benefits including 22 days holiday increasing by 1 day per year up to 28 days plus all bank holidays, private medical insurance, death in service cover, sick pay, pension, and free on-site parking.

You will be responsible for supporting a worldwide customer base with their software issues via telephone, email and remote connection. You will be working with various engineers and software developers to support installations and testing with customers as well as diagnosing software issues.

Software Development Support Engineer Requirements:
*Must have a strong understanding of software development and able to provide technical support
*Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as computer science, software engineering, maths or physics - Graduates will be considered
*Excellent communication skills
*Must be self-motivated to support customer
*Should have a logical approach to fault-finding
*Able to learn and understand complex software systems
*Capable of working across multiple projects simultaneously

An understanding of some of the following would be very advantageous:
Real time application development; Simulation, games or 3D graphic; Applied maths, vector maths, trigonometry or forward/inverse kinetics; Fluid dynamics; Version control principles and systems (CVS, SVN, etc.); Documentation control; Oil field experience; Scientific background.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm.
