My client, a national, commercially focused not for profit group with a turnover in excess of £90m have partnered with us to recruit an established Auditor to take on the role of Head of Internal Audit. The organisation, with hubs located across the nation and head offices in both central London and the Midlands are recognized as a leader in its field.

Reporting directly into the Board, Audit & Risk Committee and working closely with the Group Director of Finance the Head of Internal Audit works in partnership to implement and set strategic direction of the Group.

Accountabilities include;
-Evaluating and monitoring the extent of which risks are being managed, reporting findings back to the Board
-Devise a risk management framework, ensuring adherence business wide
-Providing strategic support and recommendations to enhance the organisation's operations
-Conducting internal investigations, scrutinising business processes
-Supporting senior management to ensure the organisation's compliance is consistently outstanding
-Be a key point of contact and provide assurance to external auditors and regulators
-Management of the Audit team

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified, experienced auditor, who has ideally worked in a complex multisite organsiaiton. A proactive, positive attitude is essential, as is the ability to hit the ground running. Experience within the Not for Profit sector would be an advantage but is not essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for the successful candidate. You will be a lateral thinker with an inquisitive approach and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels, yet still be head strong to deliver and extract information in an effective manner.
