We are looking to bring in a person with technical mechanical skills to provide support to our M&E operations.

The person is likely to be degree qualified, or equivalent, with proven ability in some or all of the following:

Planning, design, detail engineering of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems

Detail development of concept designs; prepare mark-ups to include equipment selection and specification, builders work markups etc.

Duct design and layout following the CIBSE standards, selection of grills, diffusers, fans, attenuators, and heater batteries.

Pump head, fan static, pipe/gas pipe sizing, and Part F ventilation calculations.

Preparation of equipment specifications (Datasheets), documentation for equipment selected.

Review tender, contract issues document comments from architects, clients, structural engineers and contractors.

To use CAD to produce 3D assemblies, solid models, Isometrics, drawings in accordance with established engineering specifications for water treatment systems and equipment.

Design of heating,VRF,ventilation and publichealth

Cooling scheme, ventilation scheme selection.

Conducting site visits, meeting with clients, site surveys, dealing with local authority, contractors, suppliers etc.

Co-ordinate with other engineering disciplines in all aspects during the development of works to ensure the confirmative of the design with the requirements by issuing proper technical specifications for the site engineer.

Review contractors working drawings forapproval.

Site inspection and witness testing &commissioning.

SKILLS

Using Microsoft office applications

Autodesk Revit MEP and BIMqualified (useful)

Thermal modelling via use ofCymap or Hevacomp software

Familiarisation with BuildingRegs,

Minimum 5 years experience within a technical mechanical support and design role.

Our working week is 40 hours Monday to Friday

Salary circa £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience
