Assistant Manager, Technology Operations

Salary £27,000 - £35,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic individual to work alongside the CIO of a financial services company as an Assistant Manager in the Technology Operations team.

This is a long term contract for IT services between companies and the core purpose of the Technology Operations team is to manage the IT services received from the partner company, spanning service management, catalogue management, contract management, IT financial management, cross-entity governance and data operations.

This is a role that would suit someone who has a passion for being part of something new (as our client builds out this new function), has experience of supplier governance and management and someone who is interested in working closely with our IT colleagues.


In this role you will be responsible for supporting the management of one of their partners from both a governance and reporting perspective. You will be required to support the management of and reporting around the cross entity governance regime and associated contractual performance and financial metrics. This will assist in ensuring the companies operate effectively; contractual obligations and performance are tracked and monitored, escalations are managed, contract changes are delivered, there financial position is understood and overall the management of their partner as a supplier is successful.

You may also be responsible for supporting the financial management, reporting and analysis of the key contractual cost drivers. The successful company partner will have strong analytical, stakeholder management, collaboration and problem solving skills. Previous experience of supplier management, commercial or financial disciplines and an IT environment are desirable but not required.

  • Capable of producing accurate and concise MI/reports, minutes and action lists; able to summarise information and apply critical analysis

Desirable Skills:-

  • Financial Services industry experience
  • Technology services experience
  • Knowledge of Supplier Management and Supplier Governance
  • Experience of working with financial/IT cost data
