Job Title - Driver/Chargehand
Our client provides dedicated, specialist services to public and private sector businesses in the Greater Manchester areas. This is a full time and permanent role for a Driver/Chargehand based in Greater Manchester. You will receive a basic salary of up to £25,128 with an excellent benefits package and unrivalled career prospects.
A large and successful facility management company providing services from school dinners, commercial cleaning & commercial waste - widely regarded as one of the most best in their field. This is an exciting time for a Driver/Chargehand to join them as they continue their journey towards being a market leader, delivering customers with outstanding levels of service at the right time and place.
You, the successful Driver/Chargehand will be responsible for safely carrying out repairs and improvements to a variety of built environment infrastructure such as modular paving, kerb installations, concreting & pipe laying. To compliment your industry experience as a Drive/Chargehand you will hold a current Heavy Goods Licence class 2 including Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and an NVQ Level 2 or above in Construction Maintenance.
You should be confident in your ability with a flexible and adaptable attitude to work, you will strive with your colleagues in the team to provide the maximum availability and efficiency of our clients services.
You will drive a range of vehicles with a gross weight of up to and including 32 tonnes, consisting of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV), tractors, tippers, HIAB Cranes, tail lifts, platforms, pickups and transit vans. You will need to understand and follow the procedures relating to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and abide by Health & Safety at Work act, Road Traffic Act and apply safe methods of working to all activities.
