IT Service Desk Manager
Location: Bristol - commutable from Bath, Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, Gloucester, Cardiff and Newport.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

My client requires an IT Service Desk Manager to manage our growing IT support team within the IT department. The IT Support team currently supports approximately 750 users based in 6 sites. We are looking for an individual to develop the team and start implementing ITIL standards and processes.


The successful candidate must have the following attributes / experience:

* A good people person proficient in communicating with people at all levels in the business.
* Previous experience in working in an ITIL environment and preferably previous experience of implementing ITIL.
* A good mentor to junior members of the team encouraging training & progression.
* Keen to work in a lively environment with events run throughout the year.
* Previous experience of managing a support team within a similarly sized business
* Proactive approach to documentation / procedures / policies.
* Previous experience in a Level 2 / 3 technical IT role.
* Good technical knowledge allowing quick and efficient communications with other teams within the IT department such as Infrastructure and Telephony.
* Previous experience within a PCI compliant business desirable.
* Follow health and safety guidance to ensure that you do not put yourself or any fellow employees at risk. Ensure that the safety of the office is maintained and obtain advice from HR regarding any health and safety concerns.
* Ensure that any procedures that are put in place are adhered to and actions identified under risk assessments are carried out in a timely manner.
* Understand and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
* Additional duties as required.
