This is an exciting position working for an innovative Financial information company in the City of London in their delegate sales team.

You will primarily be:

Selling delegate places over the phone to senior decision makers, primarily into EMEA markets, as well as our Asian and Americas based events as part of a global team
Delivering against daily/weekly/monthly targets relating to call volumes, talk time and sales targets against specific events
Increasing the number of delegates who attend events

Key Accountabilities:

Assimilating key selling points during event briefing sessions and being able to succinctly and compellingly deliver these in verbal and written communication to relevant prospects
Working closely with relevant producers responsible for each event, providing detailed and thorough feedback about prospects, pipelines and progress on each event
Liaising closely with relevant Marketer to ensure awareness of upcoming campaigns and plan accordingly to effectively follow up and close all incoming leads
Carrying out independent research to understand the market and working closely with the Delegate Sales Manager to identify and target key sectors as required, in part through intelligent use of the information produces
Maintaining up-to-date records to ensure that your daily activity and all contacts with prospective customers, issues, opportunities and competitive information are fully recorded and evaluated. The software currently used for this purpose is Microsoft CRM
Liaising with colleagues within the company to keep fully up-to-date with all the organisation’s latest product related developments
Keeping colleagues within the company fully informed of your activities and of all developments within the marketplace, both informally and through formal reporting
Assessing sales literature and techniques used by the team and taking a view as to whether they can be improved. If so, co-ordinating this work and ensuring each team member uses this in an effective way

The Team

Working as part of a team of 2 Delegate Sales Executives and 1 delegate sales Manager covering EMEA 
Part of larger global conferences team of 30 people working on 40 events annually.
Portfolio of 12-15 EMEA events per annum, all leads assigned and split between the Delegate Sales Manager and the 2x Delegate Sales Executives.
Office based role in central London, near Barbican.
