Scrub Nurse – (Theatres) Working in Plastics/Cosmetics - Days Only!!!

Nurses are, unarguable, some of the hardest working, overstretched and under-appreciated professionals in the world. This Private company are looking for Scrub nurses with experience in Plastic Surgery to join their ever growing and developing London based team. The surgery is very small, with 10 existing members of staff covering 2 theatres so being a strong team player with a bubbly and warm personality is vital.

What would be asked of you in your day to day role? Nothing you would not expect;

- To assist/scrub with various types of cosmetic surgical procedures.
- Participate fully as a team member, sharing knowledge and information.
- Demonstrate through a holistic approach to care and day to day clinical issues, an understanding of evidence based practice.
- To liaise with Surgeons regarding procedures and requirements.
- To assist in pre and post operative care of the patient following the procedures.
- Develop a skill mix that can be adopted in all areas of patient care including outpatients.
- To assist in stock control and ordering.
- Flexibility around business requirements.
- Cover the out of hours on call phone according to the on call rota.
- Follow up care and advice is provided to patients.
- Patient safety is maintained as a key priority, and in line with CQC requirements.
- A high standard of professionalism and standards is maintained at all times.

To be suitable for this opportunity, we would ask the following;

- You have NMC or OPD registration
- You have Theatre experience (Ideally within a Plastics environment)
- You have a tenacious, professional and friendly work ethic.
- You wish to constantly develop and further your knowledge.
