The school want to meet a friendly and ambitious English graduate with a passion to support young people and a strong personal academic record. You will have a caring approach to helping your students reach their fullest potential in this English Academic Mentor role. You will need to have completed a UK based degree and have some experience working with children or young people, although not necessarily in a school setting.
As an English Teaching Assistant your role will involve you working solely within the English department at the school. The school boasts an excellent career development programme open to all of members of staff. The role will involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, and as you progress you will have the opportunity to lead whole class groups. The department is overseen by a fantastic Head of English who will be on hand to help.
