A fantastic opportunity is available for a Payroll Manager to join an Engineering company for a 6 month fixed term contract in Erdington. The company are a leader in multi technical services.

The Role and Responsibilities
This is a hands-on role from new employee set up to processing payroll and producing monthly reports for key stakeholders, weekly and monthly reconciliation, providing accurate annual reporting and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, you will be providing an end to end Payroll service to 700 employee's.

-Preparation of all company payrolls, to set tight deadlines.
-Review payroll prior to sign off, highlighting anomalies and investigating discrepancies required
-Check statutory payments i.e. SSP/SPP/SMP
-Workplace Pensions : Auto-enrolment and the setting up of contributions
-Complete month end procedures and submission of Tax and NI Sending BACS payments --Reconciliation of all payroll transactions and working closely with our Finance Department.
-Liaison and compliance with HMRC regulatory requirements including timely returns, RTI filings, benefits processing etc.
-Preparation of P11D's, P35 and P60¡¦s and submission to the HMRC by set dates.
-Working closely with HR Business Partners to approve and process employee payments.
-Reporting, reconciliation and payment of 3rd party supplier payments.
Work closely with HR function to ensure continuity of reporting and data transfer to Payroll.
-Managing the payroll team to ensure deadlines are met and payroll is processed accurately.
-Lead by example as the technical expert within the department, ensuring implementation of new legislation, providing training to the team, and communicating impacts to the senior management team
Act as the main point of contact between HR and payroll regarding starters, leavers, maternity, paternity, bonuses and overtime

To be considered for the role you must have worked as a Payroll Manager previously
-Strong exposure in a Senior Payroll capacity.
-Exposure to working for a business with multiple payrolls .
-Exposure of management of processing of payroll's across UK
-A sound knowledge of and ability to apply payroll procedures and legislation.
-Knowledge of Pension Schemes and auto-enrolment requirements
-A high degree of numeracy, accuracy and the ability to use Excel and Word efficiently.
-Ability to work with minimum supervision in an autonomous and independent way, whilst remaining able to take instruction when necessary.
-Capable of working under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.

The company are offering a salary of £30,000 with hours of Monday to Friday 8am till 17.00pm.
