They are the world leader in ultra-low cost flexible electronics, enabling the potential for trillions of smart objects that can engage with consumers and their environments. Their unique technology platform delivers flexible integrated circuits (FlexICs) that are thinner than a human hair and can be easily embedded into everyday objects.

Their solutions provide the opportunity to add new functionality, as well as extending proven applications such as RFID and NFC into mass market use cases previously prohibited by the cost of traditional silicon ICs. Their novel, differentiated products are being adopted by a growing base of global companies across diverse markets, including consumer goods, games, retail, pharmaceutical and security sectors.

As part of their growing plan, they are now seeking an innovative, practical design engineer to develop mixed-signal blocks and RF integrated circuits using their unique flexible technology.

As part of their expanding R&D team, you will develop a variety of new circuits and perform evaluations of the fabricated FlexICs in their lab, working alongside colleagues from all across the company.

Key tasks:

RF, analogue and mixed signal VLSI design and evaluation:

Concept and feasibility study

Design of blocks

Schematic capture

IC layout

Design verification

Product design documentation:

Document all relevant product and design information to educate others on novel techniques and guidance on product usage

Product characterisation:

Define, conduct and analyse data from product performance characterisation
