As a developed contractor, this business has a large in house design team involving both design engineers and CAD Technicians; where this opportunity has arisen due to continued business growth within their head offices in the Edinburgh area.

The position of M&E CAD Technician will require the successful applicant to be able to work unsupervised and able to juggle a high workload whilst meeting deadlines so perhaps you have had previous experience in working on mechanical and electrical services within the building services industry using the AutoCAD software for both 2D and 3D requirements on as-fitted drawings. You will be working on a wide variety of commercial projects in both the public and private sectors such as offices, schools, health centres, banks and data centres for Scotland and other areas of the UK. Within the role you will be expected to prepare accurate CAD drawings, develop and finalise details of design from the design engineering team whilst maintaining strong levels of communications and relationships at all levels with clients, external consultants and colleagues.
