Revision Recruitment are proud to support our leading Cambridge-based client in their search for this business critical position, directly linked to their ongoing growth and strategic vision.

Synonymous with leading edge design and product quality of the highest calibre, they are looking to hire an experienced and highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their Operational team on a full time basis. Reporting into the Director of Operations, your role will be to manage the manufacturing product and process engineering activity on site, ensuring the business adopts and implements improvements including OTIF, a reduction in manufacturing costs and increased production capacity. The processes you deliver will help to shape the companies manufacturing capability going forward, and ensure the infrastructure and staff are developed to cope with the challenges of building a world class product.

Managing a team of 4, with the remit to increase this to 6 over the next 12 months, you will work closely with DoOps and other senior leadership figures to deliver on some core metrics within the manufacturing area.

You responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Lead, manage and develop the manufacturing engineering team to deliver effective production and process engineering services to support the business
- Plan and develop departmental processes, management processes and lean manufacturing/continuous improvement activities for the site
- Providing technical support to supply chain processes, focussing on outsourcing or the reduction in product costs
- Implementing best practise using industry standard tools - 8D, DfM, ECN, CAR's and SixSigma

As this is site leadership level role, with management responsibilities, a strong background in a similar role is essential. Demonstrable skills relating to the core requirements of this role will be required, as the client will be keen to see how you have developed processes in previous positions. Educationally, a degree is preferred, but not essential as long as the applicants have a strong vocational engineering background. Ideally you will be qualified in several lean processes, and have experience of delivering on strategic objectives using those skills.

This role comes with an excellent salary and benefits package, and will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to create a legacy within my clients ongoing journey.
