A well known Commercial company based in the Uxbridge area are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant with team lead/supervisory experience on a permanent basis. This is a very good opportunity for you if you have a proven track record of leading a team and turning things around. This role requires someone highly experienced with reconciliations and general accounts experience.

Looking after a team of 2 direct reports, your key responsibilities will include:

  • To manage and look after reconciliations made within JD Edwards
  • Updating the general ledger and ensuring the reconciliation criteria is up to date and correct
  • Ensuring the control accounts are fully matched/cleared down and all journals posted within set time frames
  • Investigating and resolving queries where possible and raising journals to ensure that the control account balance relates to cash in transit and current discrepancies only
  • Arranging weekly branch cash meetings, to share best practise
  • Driving communication and providing support where needed to the team
  • Producing period end reconciliations for all companies

Person Specification:

  • Previous leadership/supervisory experience is essential - this role will have 2 direct reports
  • Strong reconciliations experience is essential
  • Experience of JD Edwards is desired but isn't essential
  • Excel - intermediate level is required
  • MS Access - intermediate level is required
  • Strong communicator with strong planning and organisational skills
  • Strong data entry skills are required
  • An effective and confident team player with strong attention to detail
