This is an exciting opportunity to work with an employee owned, award-winning, multi-disciplinary design, construction and consultancy company operating in the UK and Europe. They specialise in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life science and technology sectors, with a broad customer base including large corporate clients.

This company is looking for a Process Engineer, based in South Wales or South West England, with 5+ years post graduate experience within the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Bio-technology, Healthcare, Laboratories, Industrial or Scientific sector, to work in their brand-new office in Cardiff.

You will need to have a degree and experience as a process engineer as well as being Chartered or be actively working towards Chartered status. In addition, you must be self-reliant and able to use your own initiative. A good standard of English for written and verbal communication is essential as they are looking for a confident, articulate, professional communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to present structured and coherent arguments.

You will be a proactive, dynamic and reliable leader and project team member who can support junior members of the team where required.

You will also have the following skills and knowledge and or experience:
- Conversant with all project lifecycle stages from Masterplanning to post-completion.
- Competent in Front End Design, concept, scheme and detailed design, constructability, commissioning and the specification and documentation of process engineering equipment, plant and systems, relevant to the Life-Sciences sectors.
- GxP competent (FDA, EMEA, MHRA, UK Home Office) and similar standards.
- Have thorough working knowledge of ISPE, engineering design codes and other industry, UK and International standards and codes.
- Thorough working knowledge of process engineering software tools (eg specialist software, CAD and Revit).
- Be fully conversant with the CDM regulations and other safety standards and codes.
- Thorough working knowledge of the integration with other core disciplines e.g. architectural, structural and civil engineering systems, M&E services installation techniques and practice.
- Good IT skills and competent with MS Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Good understanding of cost, risk and value in project and business contexts.
