Tohelp achieve this, we are looking for a Physics Programmer to join ourteam developing Train Sim World: an immersive first-person simulationgame allowing you to be the driver of a range of diesel and electrictrains on some of the world's most amazing railways. The successfulcandidates will work with the Lead Programmer in driving theimplementation of vehicle physics most notably in the area of locomotivesimulation. The candidate must be able to create efficient mathematicalmodels and physics systems in order to ensure highly accurate andauthentic simulation experiences for our players. Talented graduatecandidates will be considered. Responsibilities: - Using visualmodelling tools for creating simulations of vehicle powertrains,including electrical, mechanical and air systems as well as embeddedcontrol systems. - Work with vehicle setup team to create the interfacebetween simulation variables and controls or displays in cab. Helps tomaintain, improve and optimise the physics system. - Use of simulationdebugging tools to improve stability and accuracy of the vehiclesimulation. - Could evolve to support and develop the current physicsengine, implementing cutting edge algorithms and optimisations. -Innovate mathematically rigorous solutions for simulated vehicles. -Report to the lead engineer and assist in the planning and estimation ofwork on their backlog. - Should be flexible to help out other engineersand vehicle setup team if needed. - Provide insight to anticipatetechnical/workflow issues and provide solutions.
