Read onThis is a fast growing (SaaS) solution provider based in Basildon,Essex, providing an enterprise class online communication system tovarious markets.Their friendly, dynamic and creative team are working with the latesttechnologies, pushing boundaries to enhance and expand their solutionwhile offering their clients 1st class support using cutting edgearchitecture to provide a resilient and robust platform.About the RoleA great opportunity for a hands-on IT manager with suitable DevOpsexperience to take ownership and complete responsibility for theirexisting production and back-office IT operations, having the ability tocommunicate and present ideas and solutions to the relevant directors,together with the confidence and skills to implement.The windows based production infrastructure includes both virtualisedand non-virtualised servers within a clustered/HA environment, hosted onHP blade servers and fibre SAN arrays.The successful candidate will have responsibility for ensuring seamlesscontinuity of all systems. Therefore the role will include systemmonitoring using a number of tools, system updates, backups, datastorage and fault-finding, management of our business continuitystrategy, disaster recovering plan and IT security in relation to theircontractual obligations.Skills required- Proven hands-on experience is a must with HP blade systems,virtualisation, networks, a genuine understanding and exposure of iLO,SNMP, cluster/HA, Raid, SAN.- At an OS/Application level, the candidate must have set-up and managedWindow Server 2012, Active Directory, GPO, Hyper-V , Clustering(including MSSQL), VPN, vLans, SQL Server, Windows Services and WebApplications (IIS)- Although not essential, having exposure to security aspects, TSQL orhaving a BSc/BA or MSc/MA in computer science, engineering or relevantfield will be a plus.- It would be expected candidates have experience and ability to produceand amend documents on a technical level, taking ownership of any changecontrol requirements and processes and be able to manage staff accordingly.Want to find out more?
