Quality inspector - About the Company:

Well established manufacturing company, who have been producing high quality components/parts within the automotive industry for over 20 years. Due to continued growth an opportunity has arisen to a Quality Inspector to join the team.

Purpose of Role - Quality inspector
To ensure the quality throughout the manufacturing process, control, introduce and maintain standards in relation to ISO guidelines.

- Approve incoming materials be confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarising re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs and calibration of same.
- Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
- Manage processes to recognise errors, report on why errors have occurred, put procedures in place to prevent re-occurrence.
- Maintain and oversee ISO 9001:2015 standards by ensuring all staff are aware of and adhere to standards in place

Candidate requirements - Quality Inspector
The successful candidate MUST have experience with sheet metal within the automotive industry and have the following skills, qualifications & experience:
- ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Sheet metal
- Hold a recognised engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng (Desirable)
