Software Test Analyst - .Net C++ Agile

Our client, based in central Maidstone, is going through an exciting period of growth and is now looking to add to their team. The Test engineer role will be part of the scrum team with a focus on .NET testing. The role will be responsible for executing tests that cover both functional and non-functional characteristics, ensuring releases adhere to quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with other members of staff in the test team to ensure that quality and define test coverage is achieved
  • Ensure test plans and reports are created for each sprint
  • Working with other members of the team to develop new testing techniques
  • Create and execute manual tests
  • Create and execute component integration, system integration and security tests
  • Identify and develop areas of automation
  • Produce clear bug reports that contain high amounts of detail
  • Embrace new technologies and techniques to improve solution quality

Experience:

  • Experience of testing .NET applications and/or C/C++ embedded applications
  • Experience working with and testing integration APIs
  • Knowledge of testing in an agile environment
  • Experience in creating manual test plans
  • Experience in performance and security testing
  • 3 years' + experience as a test engineer

Desirable:

  • Experience in the payments industry
  • Knowledge of EMVCo standards
  • Experience in an agile/scrum environment
  • Experience in automation testing of APIs
  • SoapUI/ReadyAPI experience
  • Experience of Team Foundation Server and/or Microsoft Test Manager
  • ISEB, ISTB or iSQI Certifications

Working Conditions:

The role will primarily be based in the Maidstone however, the need may arise to travel and visit other office locations within the UK. Some projects meetings may also be held at customer sites.
