Customer IT Engineer Retail & Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS)
We have recently engaged by one of our multinational partners to assist with the volume recruitment of new entry level IT staff. Due to some significant project wins our client is increasing their own permanent field team in several critical areas. They require individuals with a good mix of interpersonal and technical skills who adopt a can-do approach to their work. The role would suit someone looking to progress their career or someone highly self-taught or a recent Forces leaver perhaps as training by the client will be provided.
·Engineers will be required to provide installation and maintenance of equipment such as supermarket tills, ATM’s and other EPOS related machinery.
·Engineers will be provided with a PDA/mobile device in which they will receive daily calls/schedule requirements.
·Engineers will need to visit a PUDO (pick-up and drop-off point) each day to collect and dispose of equipment
·Engineers must be good with customers and must understand how important engineer perception can be in these environments.
·Good communication skills are vital as daily reporting and interaction with the customer and client service desk will be required.
·Work can be on a shift basis with the requirement of overtime

·Must represent the customer in a manner that reflects positively on the image and reputation of the company
·Must be able to communicate at all levels including Service/Installation Coordinator/Customer/Control Tower.
·Will understand and perform the various customer Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements escalating issues to relevant departments following the correct procedure.
·Must have full clean driving license as these are mobile roles
Full permanent role with a salary of £18,000 - £20,000 with a healthy overtime option to earn more if motivated. This salary is also complemented by a van, uniform, mobile, fuel card and expenses card. Further on-line training courses and shadowing are also provided as our client wishes to offer a career to its employees not simply a job.
