This Global Manufacturer specialises in the mechanical side of motion control/ production automation- specifically with products such as linear guideways, gantry robots and accompanying components such as racks and pinions, gearing etc.
As a part of their planned growth they wish to appoint a Sales Engineer to help develop their sales of built modules (average order value circa £50k). This work will focus on the built systems- specifically gantry related robotic modules.
The client base for this role is wide and varied and includes Automotive, Machine Tool, Pharma, Aerospace, Nuclear and Defence sectors and the machine builders working with these sectors.
Our ideal candidate will have a successful record of selling to machine builders or OEMs, and preferably an understanding of some of the applications of gantry robots (pick and place/ feeding systems/ automated warehousing applications etc.).
Using a consultative sales process, you will be capable of understanding and solving a customer's engineering problem with a conceptual approach. To support this way of working you will have a recognised engineering qualification such as apprenticeship or Degree with the ability to understand the engineering behind machines combined with the ability to project manage a range of complex high value sales.
The role is home/ field based. The company have an office in the West Midlands which you will be expected to attend weekly.
