Key Tasks

- Chasing outstanding debt by methods of telephone, email and letters to reduce overdues ledger and improve debtor days.
- Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements.
- Ensuring all ledger maintenance carried out to strict deadlines to ensure smooth month end controls and reporting.
- Liaising with colleagues at site and central office to resolve outstanding cash and billing queries.
- Processing client payments and accurate recording and receipt process followed.
- Assisting with month end reporting process.
- Working to strict monthly and annual collection target.
- Working successfully as part of a high volume team and assisting other team members whenever needed to ensure objectives and targets achieved.
- Establishing beneficial relationships with all insurance companies' clients and ensuring that high level of customer service is achieved.
- Prompt and thorough escalation of all disputes and issues that are preventing payment being made.

Key Performance Indicators & Measures

- Reduction of debtor days to demonstrate a prompt collection of cash whilst maintaining good client relationships at all times.
- Positive feedback indicators from key contacts and team.
- Accurate and timely processing of all patient payments.
- Ensure the collection is adhered to each month.
- Improvement in internal and external customer service levels.
- Maintain a high level of client and ledger knowledge so that information and reports are provided quickly and efficiently to management.
- High level of ledger maintenance and ensuring transactions and records are clean and up to date at all times.

Person specifications:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Process improvement experience.
- A desire to progress within a finance team environment
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven success in B2B and consumer credit control environment essential.
