We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At Ellis Whittam we are currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join our expanding team based at our Head Office in Aldford, Cheshire. You will join us on a full time permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of £17,000 - £18,500 per annum and excellent benefits.

About the Finance Assistant Role

You will assist the Finance Department with general administration duties / data input.

Your duties as our Finance Assistant will include:

- Effective management of the purchase order system and purchase ledger - Invoice processing

- To take a proactive approach to solving invoice queries from clients by liaising with legal advisers, health and safety consultants and business managers

- Raising invoices for new client agreements, anniversaries, renewals and additional services and scanning documents as required.

- Data input of credit card transactions

- Raising all client invoicing and ensure processes are in place to capture key information

- Ensure that all appropriate authorisation is sought and correct document is completed for all purchase ledger procedures

- General Administration Duties / Data inputting

What we're looking for in our Finance Assistant

- Excellent Telephone Manner

- Exercises judgement and initiative

- Strong numeracy and computer skills

- Analytical and logical problem solving skills

- A good business understanding

- Good communications and presentation skills

- Must be well organized and exercise sound judgment in decision making

- Desirable if used Sage Software, Excel and Word

- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial reporting
