We are looking for senior architects to lead on a range of large scale projects and programmes.

Our goal is to make Infrastructure and Security enablers of agile, efficient change through platforms and capabilities that deliver secure, resilient, cost effective solutions.

We're recruiting a forward-looking Cloud Architect who can combine technical thought leadership with the leadership skills to drive strategy and adoption of a variety of cloud based solutions.

Working as part of the Infrastructure and Security Architecture team, you'll need knowledge of both these disciplines and a deep expertise in one, along with experience of delivering enterprise scale solutions on private and public clouds, solid experience of DevOps and the way it underpins effective use and operation of Cloud hosted solutions and a genuine desire to keep your skills and knowledge up-to-date as the industry continues to evolve.

While not a 'hands-on' role you will be working closely with our engineering and operations teams to ensure your strategy and architecture delivers the right outcomes. However the role isn't just about technical knowledge, the ability to provide leadership and guidance to stakeholders from across the organisation is essential. We need you to be able to view problems from many different perspectives and create architectural strategies and solutions that are not only technically sound, but also include regulatory, commercial and organisational aspects where appropriate.

We are looking for influencers and innovators who produce their own deliverables and can lead others.

Key accountabilities:

* Subject matter expert for public and private cloud deployments with deep and broad knowledge of multiple technologies and providers.

* Programme shaping and architecture for key strategic programmes.

* Delivery of High Level Architecture artefacts describing principles and standards to be adopted across the enterprise together with the future strategy and roadmaps.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with infrastructure and security delivery teams to architect, design and deliver capability.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with CIO and business teams to understand future demand and shape solutions to meet the demands.

* Understand industry trends and vendor offerings to ensure LBG strategy and roadmaps capitalise on opportunities

A background working for a software vendor and/or consultancy; with experience operating within a large fast paced environment would be an advantage though if you have the core skills and experience we always consider applicants from other backgrounds.
