Salary Details:-
Unqualified: £20165 - £22081 per annum pro rata (£11.05 - £12.10 per hour)
Qualified: £23012 - £25184 per annum pro rata (£12.61 - £13.80 per hour)

HNC in Social Care and SVQ3 or equivalent and be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience is essential for the qualified rate of pay.

Casual/ Locum Position You will be expected to work flexibly as part of a team, covering all Resource Centres as and when required. The service operates Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 4pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.30am and 2pm, Friday, however working hours vary between the Resource Centres.

You will be asked to indicate which post(s) you would like to be considered for when you complete the application form. Please indicate if you wish to be considered for both.

Within East Lothian, we provide day opportunities for adults with physical and learning disabilities across three sites, Fisherrow in Musselburgh, Port Seton and Tynebank in Haddington.

Day Services support service users to engage in structured and outcome focused activities within the Centres as well as engaging with the community to develop new skills and opportunities.

Candidates must be experienced in identifying and meeting the needs of these service user groups and having previous experience of working with behaviour that may be of a challenge would be of benefit. We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic individuals who are highly motivated and will be able to deliver high quality support to meet personal outcomes.

Job Details

To deliver high quality Day Services which meet the assessed needs of individual service users, promoting independence and enhancing East Lothian's role as a provider of learning disability day services, in accordance with the values and principles of the National Care Standards, and within the policies and procedures of the Council.

Relevant Qualifications

Essential for unqualified rate of pay: General standard of education, eg. SVQ2 Level 2/Highers
(including English) and be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies
gained through previous experience.
