I am working with a dynamic and professional organisation operating in the education provision sector. I have recently recruited for this client in their Southern Region and due to continual growth they now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regional Maintenance Surveyor in South Yorkshire.

They operate in an expanding marketplace and have a defined strategy to provide outstanding facilities and service levels across their estate. They are able to offer the successful candidate an outstanding working environment along with the all-important work/life balance.


You will be responsible for the estates management of the property portfolio across the South Yorkshire area. There are currently over 10 properties in this portfolio but this number will change as the company expands.

You will have responsibility for the project management of the company’s' development programme which currently includes refurbishment and upgrade projects. The role of Maintenance Surveyor requires you to work closely with the head of estates to ensure the delivery of consistently high standards across the portfolio.

You will be managing the planned and scheduled maintenance works across the property portfolio. You will also estimate and manage the tender process for any outsourced maintenance or project works.


To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:

  • A HNC or equivalent in surveying.
  • Experience of maintenance surveying within the education sector.
  • Experience of estimating and tendering maintenance projects.
  • Up to date CDM regulations knowledge.
  • Condition surveying experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Only candidates with experience of working in the education sector will be considered for this opportunity.

Due to the working environment the successful candidate will have to undertake a full DBS check.


This role is commutable from Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Worksop and Chesterfield.
