You will be joining an incredibly friendly, small team, which will offer you support and a brilliant working environment in this varied role.

As an Accounts and Payroll Assistant, you will report into the Financial Controller, responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the Accounts Department. You will need a strong attention to detail, able to multi task and be adaptable.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: responding to and resolving queries; processing weekly and monthly payroll.

Daily payroll duties will include:

Processing Payroll ensuring employees are paid correctly on a monthly and weekly basisInputting time sheet dataProduce month end statisticsPrepare new starter packsProcessing of BACSProcessing RTI and auto-enrolmentImporting pension data and making pension paymentsCompleting Payroll Surveys for National StatisticsDaily accounts duties will include:
  • Inputting Journals, Accruals and Prepayments
  • Inter-company recharges
  • Bank runs
  • Petty cash and expense claims
  • Assist with month end reporting
  • Aged Debt and Credit reports
  • Cost analysis
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Assist with VAT Returns
  • Any other ad hoc duties required
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience working on Landmark Systems - Key Advance
  • Experience working on Iris - EARNIE payroll software
  • Previous payroll experience
  • Previous accounts experience
