Business Development Manager, St Albans, £25,000 - £30,000 plus commission

Our client is a small but successful organisation in St Albans who have an established client base where a large percentage of their revenue is gained through repeat business, referrals and recommendations.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in generating leads and new business through cold-calling and emails and a positive can-do attitude.
As the Business Development Manager you will:·Research, identify and actively develop new sales opportunities within targeted industries·Contacting new prospects via cold-calling, e-mail and by attending industry-specific and networking events·Follow up leads generated by targeted marketing campaigns·Respond to incoming sales enquiries from potential new clients·Represent the company at trade shows, events and client meetings·Work with the marketing manager to maximise returns on marketing activities
Essential skills / experience·Previous experience in a similar sales / business development role·Comfortable with cold calling·Proven ability to build and develop relationships·Ability to demonstrate previous experience of planning structured sales activity·Excellent presentation skills·Experience of using social media for sales purposes·Confident communication skills and a driven nature
