Events Account Manager - Pharma conferences


Salary: negotiable depending on experience, c £20000 - £28000,

Monday to Friday 9.30-18.00.

Hunters’ client is a leading conference and congress events company working within the pharmaceutical industry. Our client is looking to hire either a Client Account Manager to successfully lead and undertake all aspects of the company’smeetings. The successful candidate will offer experience in managing conferences and events for the pharmaceutical industry. In addition to this we are looking for a career-minded person who can take instruction and demonstrate fast brain power by picking things up quickly.

The successful candidate will manage a team in the necessary areas and will understand and operate the company’s bespoke Delegate & Logistical Databases. The Account Manager will create good working relationships with clients and suppliers, together with the company’s Full Time and Freelance Personnel, in order to bring about the successful conclusion of each Meeting.

This post requires regular travel to various destinations across Europe.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate at every stage of the application process a sincere passion for organizing pharmaceutical events

In addition to passion, we are looking for ability to multi-task, high level IT skills (especially Excel at advanced level), aptitude for organization, high order communication, plus cultural sensitivity. Ability to speak other languages would be an advantage.

1 Pre Meeting:

To create Action Plan and manage all items therein, with precision

Create Programme At A Glance and Production Schedule and update on an ongoing basis

Understand client requirements and listen to their requests.

Research venues

Attending any site inspection where necessary and producing Site Inspection Reports for client

Preparation of client proposals

Update of Client Budget and Final Reconciliation support.

Delegate Database Input and management

Logistical Database Input and management

Close liaison with suppliers/venues to ensure that the efficient management relating to all aspects of the meeting is obtained

2 On Site:

To travel with client and delegates, when necessary

3 Post Meeting:

Preparation of Post Event reports

Approval of all supplier invoices Final Reconciliation support, in close conjunction with Event Finance Department and MD
