My client based in Northampton are looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join them ASAP. The role will be to provide technical support ensuring their network and in infrastructure maintains performance and high availability.

Essential skills required;

oWorking knowledge and experience of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, WSUS. TCP/IP, IP Subnets

·Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Server Operating Systems from 2008 onwards

Duties and responsibilities:

Provide on-going infrastructure support for technical configuration of hardware, software and/or services implemented.Responsible for producing reports on network and server availability. On a rotational schedule the individual would provide Network and Infrastructure on call support after hours and on weekends. During that time the individual would be expected to respond and react on high priority services issues.The individual would also be expected to work outside regular business hours in support of implementing changes into the environment as per our change management schedules.Develop and execute a variety of network and infrastructure maintenance plans.Participate as subject matter expert (SME) to internal and external entities on projects and provide work plan estimates.Supports and performs IT Infrastructure related tasks for Network Infrastructure, such as "Break/Fix", hardware repair/replacement, setup and configuration, day-to-day desktop support, and resolving Service Desk support tickets.Act as an escalation for service desk teams for Network and Infrastructure related questions.Occasional travel to other sites when required.

Salary £30-40k depending on experience.
