Full Time
I am working with one of the UK's Leading FinTech businesses based in London.

My client like to try new things and at their core has a passion for their users' experience. Because of that they have won awards for innovation, the design of their product and their use of technology. It's a great start, but they now have bold ambitions and that's why they are looking for individuals to join their business.

If you are a DevOps Engineer that wants to join a close knit team, then I would like to talk to you. My client is growing fast and is scaling to keep ahead of that growth. You will have responsibility as a member of the team taking the current platform to the next level, keeping robustness, performance and security in focus. As a DevOps engineer, you will deliver platform and site reliability enhancements from within one of their cross-functional delivery factions. In addition to engineering the platform and CI pipelines, your sprint work will include working with the whole team to deliver APIs, client apps and content into production.

- Solid background in Linux system administration and site reliability engineering. It would be beneficial if you have supported Java applications and Tomcat.
- Strong experience of scripting and automation with a superior knowledge working with at least one configuration management system (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- A very good practical understanding of development and deployment pipelines and the use of CI tools. Experience of working as a DevOps engineer within an agile delivery team.
- Experience building distributed platforms in the cloud. Knowledge of orchestration tools and a firm grasp of modern architectural approaches such as microservices and EDA.
- Good experience deploying and managing databases, both SQL (preferably Postgres) non-SQL backing services (e.g. Elastic Search) and messaging systems.
- Experience using monitoring and APM solutions (e.g. AppDynamics, NewRelic) to support business-critical applications. Willingness to participate in a compensated on-call rota.

My client is looking not just for someone with the right skills but also an individual with the right attitude to integrate with the team and resonates with the company culture. The things they will be looking for are:
*Friendly people who like to join in
*Obsession with your craft and attention to the smallest detail
*Not being afraid to suggest new ideas
*Data driven but able to make judgement calls when necessary

if you are a DevOps Engineer keen to work in a growing development team that fully embraces a strong dynamic of new idea, and evolving skills, you should come interview with this business.

The salary is paying up to £60,000 + Benefits & flexible hours
