We are working with a well reputed local training provider in their recruitment of a Technical Delivery Tutor - Electrical Engineering and Maths to be based at their Workington Skills Centre. The main purpose of the role will be to research, design and deliver technical training to both young people and adults. The role will involve delivering the following courses as well as researching and designing bespoke Technical Training Courses as per customer specifications;

  • Electrical Engineering Level 3
  • Maths Level 4
  • Project management Level 3
  • CAD Level 3

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of HNC or equivalent who have a strong knowledge of the subject area and demonstrate skills / experience in the following areas:

  • Time served craftsperson
  • Evidence of ability to teach technical certificates and supervise students
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Assessment of student work.
  • Curriculum Design
  • Pastoral care of students

We are ideally looking for a candidate with a teaching qualification although we are also happy to hear from candidates with strong industry experience who would be willing to undertake appropriate training and professional development, including working towards a recognised teaching qualification.
