Temporary Position for a Finance Assistant for approximately two months to cover for various Summer holidays in the Finance Team.

Ideally you will have worked in an accounts team in the construction industry before and be familiar with procedures in the business.

An AAT or ACCA qualification would be useful but is not essential.

You will however need to have had previous experience dealing with purchase ledger in particular and processing payments for sub contractors preferably.

Your role will be all encompassing dealing with all aspects of the accounts up to Trial balance and potentially assisting with the production of Management Accounts as well working closely with the Finance Manager.

Accuracy is key in this role so we expect you to take pride in your work and be able to arrange your workload to accommodate deadlines.

As the first point of contact for many of our suppliers and customers you'll need to have a friendly and efficient telephone manner and be confident dealing with them and any queries.

You will be responsible for codings and postings of many of the invoices and ensuring that the correct accounting procedures are followed.

You'll need to be comfortable with Excel and have dealt with cash books and reconciliations. Experience with CIS Returns would also be useful.
